Shankhuwasabha, April 1:

German ambassador to Nepal Verena Grafin von Roedern today said German assistance to Nepal will increase in the coming days.

Speaking at a programme organised by Shankhuwasabha Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Khandbari today, she said the assistance would continue as German support had been fruitful in Nepal. “The assistance will increase in the future,” said Roedern who arrived here to inaugurate the Chainpur Drinking Water Project constructed by RRN with the support of several donor agencies. She also inspected road construction sites in Bakhuwa and Vyangkhola. The road is being constructed with the assistance of German government and European Commission. District coordinator of RRN Rudra Thapa said half of the road construction task had already been completed.

Asia Director of Worldwide Programme for Hungry People Bernart Huper and chairman of NGO Federation Dr Arjun Karki had accompanied Roedern to Sankhuwasabha. The envoy also visited Khandbari, Diding, Chainpur, Kharan and Baneswor area.
