JHAPA: A bridge has been constructed over the Leliya rivulet at Dharampur in Jhapa district at the initiation of women. The bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.14 million.

According to Engineer of the Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN), an organisation, Prem Chandra Banstola, the bridge was constructed in collaboration between local communities and RRN, Jhapa.

It took three months to complete the construction works of the bridge. Coordinator of RRN, Jhapa, Duryodhan Adhikary, said that the bridge was constructed with Rs. 916,000 provided by the RRN, Jhapa, and local’s voluntary labour equivalent to Rs. 225,000.
