Thesis Support Grant

Few Research Grants are available for conducting Thesis/ Dissertation Research as a partial fulfillment for completion of the degree to the deserving students pursuing Master's degree in development field with component of a Policy Analysis.
.

The Terms of reference for recipients of such grants are:

  • Grants are available only to full time students registered in a recognized University of Nepal
  • Outline of Thesis proposal must be submitted in the format provided by RRN which is duly approved by Campus Supervisor/ Advisory Committee
  • RRN Representative shall be included in student's thesis Advisory Committee duly approved by University/ Campus / Department as per the regulation
  • A total amount not exceeding Nepali Rupees 50,000 (Fifty thousand only) will be provided in two installments as thesis grant to cover operational expenses (travel, stationary, typing , photocopying)
  • A copy of draft Thesis/ Dissertation should be submitted to RRN for review and evaluation after completion
  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)/ Contract Agreement will be signed between RRN and University/ Campus / Department for implementing the grant (Research)
  • The agreement may be terminated by RRN with a written notice to the Student/ Department/Campus/University in case of an unsatisfactory outcome

The grant recipient will fulfill the following conditions:

  • The student shall complete his/her degree within a period as specified by the respective Department / Campus/University
  • The outcome of the research may be published partially or fully by RRN with or without the consent of the Student / Department/Campus/ University with an acknowledgement to the Student / Department/Campus/University
  • The student shall submit the detailed expenditure incurred during the research duly signed by the authorized personnel
  • The grant will not cover salary or other related overhead costs
  • The student shall submit one hard copy of the approved Thesis/Dissertation and one soft copy (disk) after successful completion.
